Annuity Training Requirements
NAIC Required Training

A majority of states have adopted the 2010 NAIC Model Regulation on Suitability in Annuity Transactions. In states that have adopted this regulation, producers doing business in these states must comply with any new state and product training requirements. Details of these requirements and links to other related important information are provided below.

State Approved Annuity Training

A majority of states require producers complete a minimum of four (4) continuing education requirements from an APPROVED vendor offering NAIC Training prior to solicitation.

Phoenix Product-Specific Training

ALL producers are required to complete Phoenix product training, regardless of a particular state's requirements. Insurance producers may not solicit an annuity application unless the producer has adequate knowledge about the product and the producer is in compliance with product-specific training prior to solicitation.
